The Norman Cohn Trust exists to promote greater understanding of the causes of extremism, and what can be done to counter it.
We organise events at which experts in this field are able to share and discuss their knowledge with political, security and faith leaders, and with the general public.

Extremism was the subject of Professor Norman Cohn's world-renowned research and publications, which he described as studies of those who sought "to purify the world, through the annihilation of some category of human beings imagined as agents of corruption and incarnations of evil”.
"The work of Norman Cohn has taken on a new resonance. We should heed his warnings."
